Hydrocarbon Engineering, s.l. started its beginnings working in the development of a new hydrothermal process to obtain biomass from different carbon sources. This made it one of the four companies awarded by the VLC/START-UP 2016 program. These prizes for the promotion of innovative ecosystems are organised in Spain by the University of Valencia, the Fundació Parc Científic Universitat de València (FPCUV) and the CSIC (Spanish state R&D agency, with more than 130 prestigious research centres).
